Performance
After a formal audition process held
by the Fairfax County Arts Council, SRDA has been invited to perform at the 2010 International Childrens Festival to be held
at Wolf Trap. In the audition process, our hope was to represent the American culture of dance through jazz, hip-hop
and several other traditional forms of dance. Come join us September 18-19 weekend!

Nutcracker Auditions
The 2010 Auditions were a huge success. We had Over 50 very talented dancers come to
try out.

Congratulations to our Company Members!
This
month our Diamond Company members brought home 3 Platinum and 7 Gold trophies from the ShowStoppers Dance Competition in Woodbridge.
The
entire Company traveled to Richmond to the "I Love Dance" competition and also brought home 27 first place trophies,
3 2nd place trophies, and Heather Taylor recieved an Award of Excellence for an overall outstanding performance from all 52
Company Members. The students weren't the only ones to shine. 6 SRDA Instructors also participated in the excitement and brought
home a first place trophy for their Teacher Feature.
Ms. Hilary Tunstall,
a Diamond Member, was named I Love Dance's Miss Sweatheart for her all around outstanding performance. Hilary competed two
solo's, 1 duett, and 7 group dances.
Results for our 1st Annual, Pirouette for Parkinson's
fund raiser!
South Riding Dance & Tiny Toes Dance Academies were able to sell 439 tickets to our first annual "Pirouette
for Parkinson's" Fund raiser. With that, SRDA is proud to give TeamForesha, Michael J. Fox Foundation $1,275.00. That
combined with the on-line donations to support our cause we totaled $4,200.00.We eceeded out goal by $200.00.
